Sparks Pediatrics - Immunizations
Most children born at our local hospitals will receive a Hepatitis B Vaccine soon after birth before discharge home from the hospital. It is important to bring this information to your first visit to our clinic.
- Our immunization schedule is based on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians. This schedule is released every January and may be adjusted based on vaccine availability.
- Immunizations are usually given at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 4 years and 5 years old. Additional immunizations are recommended at 11 years old. Lab work is recommended at 9-12 months and 24 months old.
- It is important to remember that even though your child may not be receiving immunizations at every visit, well child care visits are critical to helping identify and prevent many medical problems in the future.
