Caps and Gowns

Dress Code/Academic Regalia

Commencement recognizes the academic achievements of UAB graduates and is considered a formal academic ceremony that should be viewed as such in dress and demeanor.  The undergraduate and master’s academic robes are green.  The recommended dress for graduates is comfortable business attire.

The deadline for students to purchase their caps and gowns will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, for the spring ceremonies. There will be a $15 late fee assessed to cap and gown purchases after this date.

 

Academic Regalia Cost*

All of the Grad Packs include a one year membership in The University of Alabama at Birmingham National Alumni Society. Students may purchase regalia between March 26, 2013 and the deadline date of Saturday, April 20, 2013.  Please note that students will receive their caps and gowns at the time of purchase.

 

 

Grad Packs are available at Barnes & Noble @ UAB (Hill University 150, 205-996-2665).  Store hours and complete contact information are available on the UAB Bookstore website.

*Shipping for the continental United States will be provided for $6.95.

 

Online/Distance Learning Students
