The School of Health Professions Graduate Professional Programs ceremony will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Jemison Concert Hall of the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center.
Master's degree programs included in the ceremony are:
  • Biomedical and Health Sciences, MS
  • Biotechnology, MS
  • Clinical Laboratory Sciences, MS
  • Genetic Counseling, MS
  • Health Physics, MS
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology, MS
  • Health Administration, MSHA
  • Health Informatics, MS
  • Healthcare Quality and Safety, MS
  • Nutrition Sciences, MS
Undergraduates receiving Bachelor’s degrees will participate in the University Ceremony. Candidates for Doctoral degrees will participate in the Graduate School Doctoral Ceremony.

Dress Code/Academic Regalia

Orders for rental regalia will be taken at the UAB Bookstore (located in Hill Student Center, 1400 University Blvd) beginning on March 6, 2017. The color of the graduation robes for this ceremony will be black. Your order will consist of a rental cap, a rental gown, a purchase tassel, and a purchase hood. Orders received after Friday, April 7, 2017 will be subject to a $25 late fee.

Academic Regalia Cost*

You may rent your regalia from the UAB Bookstore at the Hill Student Center until the deadline date. Please note that you will not receive your rental regalia at the time of rental. All rental store pick-up orders will be available for pick up starting on Monday, April 24, 2017. All rental ship orders will arrive at the address indicated on your order form by  Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
