Cancer Prevention and Control Trainee
Originally from Tuskegee, AL, Bethena received her B.S. in Business Administration with a Logistics concentration from Auburn University in 2003. She completed her MPH at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA in 2009 and is a new Trainee in the CPCTP starting 2011. Bethena’s research interests include cervical cancer, logistical issues in the control of cancer in the southern rural populations, and ways to alleviate current cancer disparities that exist. Bethena currently participates in Outreach with the UAB Stroke Center and volunteers time in Tuskegee, AL working with children from historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
