Dr. David Vance has a Master's in Gerontological Studies, a Master's in Applied Developmental Psychology, a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, and completed 3 years of an NIA postdoctoral fellowship studying cognitive aging and cognitive remediation therapy. He has been project manager on several NIH-funded projects investigating cognitive and behavioral interventions in older adults and is the Principal Investigator on two NIH grants investigation aging. He has also conducted three studies on HIV, specifically examining cognitive aging and everyday functioning in this population. He has over 120 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and editorials, and has presented his research in local, national, and international venues.
