Predoctoral Teaching

The department actively participates in the DMD, or dental undergraduate, curriculum with teaching, service, and patient care experiences. DMD involvement includes:

  • Evidence-Based Dentistry
  • Cultural Competency
  • Dental Ethics
  • A Preclinical Endodontic laboratory where Endodontic techniques using extracted natural teeth provide students with necessary background to begin patient care
  • Third and fourth year lecture courses in Endodontics
  • The final two years of the DMD curriculum include a variety of exercises and patient care experiences to allow every graduating dental student to achieve a level of proficiency with uncomplicated Endodontic cases.
