ADVANCED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IN ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

In order to qualify for admission the applicant must be a graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited United Sates Dental School (or Canadian equivalent) or a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accredited United Sates Medical School. Qualified candidates must be in the top 20% of their graduating class, have achieved high test scores on the National board of Medical Examiners (NBME) Comprehensive Basic Science Examination (CBSE) or the NBME Step I exam. In addition, dental applicants must pass the National Board of Dental Examiners Part I. We have a strong interest in candidates that have had extensive shadowing experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or related fields, humanitarian activities, research experience and have served in leadership roles. The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program is a participant of the Matching Program sponsored by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and monitored by the Committee on Residency Education and Training. The administration of the Matching Program, including the performance of the match is carried out by National Matching Services, as an independent contractor.
