Numerous wines from around the world were featured at a wine tasting fund-raiser benefiting the Glenda Elliott Endowed Scholarship in Counselor Education. The tasting, which took place at the Village Wine Market on Febuary 19, was sponsored by UAB’s Zeta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota to help raise money for scholarships for graduate students in the counselor education program in the School of Education. More than 60 friends, faculty, and former students attended the event to raise funds toward the $25,000 goal.

“Having scholarships for deserving graduate students in counseling available far into the future is very meaningful personally and professionally,” says Glenda Elliott, Ph.D., associate professor emerita of the UAB Counselor Education Program and the scholarship’s namesake. “I am very grateful to the Zeta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the counselor education faculty, and the School of Education, and I deeply appreciate all the contributions and efforts now being made to endow the scholarship.”
