UAB SON’s Junior Board of Visitors Raises Scholarship Funds

The UAB School of Nursing’s Junior Board of Visitors held its annual No-Show Ball on November 15, 2009. Donors received a meal that served two to four as well as other goodies in a stylish, insulated tote bag delivered to their doorsteps. Mary Katherine Luckie Cabaniss served as chair, and Ginny DeBardeleben served as co-chair for the junior board this past year.

“Our Junior Board of Visitors contributes to nursing education through advocacy and by raising funds for a pediatric nursing scholarship at the UAB School of Nursing,” says Beth Franklin, senior director of development at the School of Nursing. “Supporting this scholarship is fitting since many junior board members are young parents, and they are all aware of the needs in children’s health care.”
