2010 VIVA Health Starlight Gala Features Smokey Robinson

Singing legend Smokey Robinson delighted guests at the 2010 VIVA Health Starlight Gala on April 24. After a reception at UAB’s Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center (ASC), Robinson performed in the Jemison Concert Hall.

Following the concert, many patrons attended dinner at Bottega Restaurant & Café thanks to a partnership with restaurant owners Pardis and Frank Stitt and gala chairs Elizabeth and Bart Crawford. Robinson even made a surprise appearance at the dinner to thank the guests for their support of the ASC and its programs. Funds raised by the gala support the ASC’s programming and education and outreach initiatives.
