Thank you for visiting the Department of Curriculum & Instruction website. As part of a great research university, our department offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Arts Education, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. Our programs are fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction faculty are internationally and nationally recognized providing expertise in their respective disciplines. Through teaching, scholarship, and service, faculty contribute to the development of dynamic teachers and educational communities in a global society. Our graduate studies, including a doctoral program in early childhood education, provide knowledgeable professionals and leaders in the field.

The Graduate Programs within the School of Education are ranked in the top third in the nation, with innovative course delivery and programs as the hallmark of our work.  Experiential-based learning occurs throughout our programs as we partner with schools and agencies to prepare teachers for the twenty first century.
