Core Curriculum Requirements
UAB’s core curriculum requirements aim to give students a balanced education. The Core Curriculum consists of four areas, and all students must fulfill requirements in each area. Each school within UAB also has specific requirements for each area. You should check the appropriate section in the catalog or talk to your academic advisor about specific requirements for your school or major.

Direction Student Handbook
Direction is filled with useful information on student activities and programs, student services, housing, student conduct, special resources, the city of Birmingham and much more! Also included for your convenience are sections such as “Quick Reference,” “Where to Go for Answers” and a campus map which is located on the back cover of this publication.
