Enroll in our UAB English as a Second Language (ESL) Program, and you will gain the expertise you need to teach P-12 or adult English language learners. We offer courses in second language acquisition methods, grammar, phonology, ESL instruction through reading and writing, and strategies for teaching math and science to English language learners. In addition, you will have opportunities for hands-on teaching experiences through diverse field experiences and internships.
