Educational leadership faculty member gives community training on anti-bullying
Dr. Loucrecia Collins will lead a series of anti-bullying training sessions with Tuscaloosa City Schools. The training is a part of the system’s HALT program, which stands for Harassment Awareness/Learning Together. The target audience will be parents and the community at large.
Educational Leadership graduate named principal of Vestavia High School
Wes Gordon, a recent graduate of the Educational Leadership EDS program (and before that, the re-designed EDL masters program) was named the new principal of Vestavia High School at last week's board meeting. He is the current Director of Curriculum for the Vestavia City Schools.
Educational Leadership alumna won distinguished dissertation award
Dr. Kim Williams, a recent graduate of the educational leadership program, won a distinguished dissertation award. Her dissertation was selected as the AERA SIG Research on the Superintendency Dissertation of the Year for 2012. Dr.. Williams has been invited to present a 15- minute overview of her study at the annual conference SIG business meeting in San Francisco this April.
