At UAB, we make it a priority to resolve any of your student complaints or concerns in a quick and fair manner. If you are one of our out-of-state students, you are just as important to us as our on-campus students! We want to listen to all of our students; on-campus students as well as students attending UAB through electronically-delivered courses. If you have a concern or a complaint that you have been unable to resolve personally, we want you to tell us. The following outlines the process for filing an official complaint or concern.

File an Official Written Complaint with UAB

As a student, you may submit an official written complaint through BlazerNET under the "Links/Forms" section or by clicking the following link: BlazerNET Complaint System. UAB encourages all of our students to make a reasonable effort to resolve issues before submitting an official complaint. Complaints are reviewed with relevant faculty and/or staff at UAB in order to respond appropriately to your concerns. If you have additional questions, please call One Stop Student Services at 205-934-4300 or e-mail questions to onestop@uab.edu or stateauth@uab.edu.

As part of the reciprocity agreement; Alabama established a dedicated portal agency that oversees UAB and assists our out-of-state students like you. If you were unable to resolve your complaint with the individuals involved at UAB, and were also unable to resolve it through UAB’s internal complaint process, you may wish to file a formal complaint with the Alabama State Portal Agency (ASPA) of the Alabama Commission on Higher Education. When you file a complaint with ASPA, your state’s portal agency will also automatically be notified by ASPA. If you choose to, you may notify your home state’s portal agency as well.
