The Quality Matters (QM) Higher Education Rubric, Sixth Edition will be released July 2018. So what does that mean for you?

  1. All course reviews submitted to eLearning prior to June 1, 2018, will be conducted using the current Rubric — the QM Higher Education Rubric, Fifth Edition. Course reviews submitted on or after June 1, 2018, will use the Higher Education Rubric, Sixth Edition. Therefore, if you have courses that you want reviewed using the current Rubric (Fifth Edition), please submit them before June 1, 2018.
  2. Applying the Quality Matters Rubric workshops will be hosted in September and October 2018. The content of the workshop will be based on the new rubric. Registration information will come soon.
  3. A Quality Matters information session will be hosted by eLearning in July 2018. In this session, participants will learn about QM professional development opportunities, receive an update on the QM new rubric, and learn about course review process. Stay tuned for more details.
  4. Quality Matter Certified Reviewers and Coordinators must complete an online training on the new rubric. The course is free if taken June through December 2018. eLearning will send a reminder to complete training.

Applying the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric Workshop (APPQMR)

The Applying the QM Rubric Workshop (APPQMR) will be held as a one-day workshop on Wednesday, February 28, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. This workshop is designed to help faculty members learn more about QM and is the first step towards earning a QM Peer Review Certification.

QM Certified Facilitators

Ms. Meegie Wheat and Dr. Zhetao Guo have been approved by Quality Matters to become Higher Education (HE) Face-to-Face Facilitators for Applying the QM Rubric.

Ms. Wheat and Dr. Guo are Senior Instructional Design Specialists in the Division of eLearning and Professional Studies.
