The Alliance for Innovative Medical Technology (AIMTech) has issued its first request for proposals with the goal of furthering the commercial development of medical device and technology concepts. AIMTech plans to fund pilot grants of up to $20,000 for 12 months based on technical and market milestones.

AIMTech is an interdisciplinary partnership created in 2014 between Birmingham-based Southern Research and the UAB Department of Biomedical Engineering.
