Alan Eberhardt honored for lifetime achievement in teaching

alan eberhardt webEberhardt was named the recipient of the 2012 Ellen Gregg Ingalls/UAB National Alumni Society Award for Lifetime Achievement in Teaching. The award is considered the highest recognition for faculty presented by the university. Recipients demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the teaching of undergraduate and/or graduate students that has been evident throughout his or her career at UAB.

Nominees must be full-time, regular UAB faculty members who have served UAB for 20 or more years and are past recipients of the President’s Award for Excellence.  Eberhardt, a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been with the university since 1991. He was the 2002 recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
