RESEARCH
Evaluation of the integrity of seal layers serving as barriers to upward migration of sequestered carbon dioxide (with Southern Company). Carbon-dioxide-enhanced oil recovery and CO2 storage in oil reservoirs and saline formations (with Southern Company and Denbury Resources). Measurement of major, minor, and trace species in coal and biomass-derived fuel gases for integrated gasification-combined cycle power systems (with the Gas Technology Institute). Oxidation of mercury during selective catalytic reduction of NOX in products of coal combustion (with Southern Research Institute). Simulation of sulfur trioxide and sulfuric acid vapor and droplet formation in the convection section and stack gas during combustion of pulverized coal (with Southern Research Institute).
