The UAB Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering welcomes Dr. Mohammad Haider as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include low-power Analog and RF circuit design for sensors and biomedical instrumentation, energy harvesting and self-powered biomedical sensor systems, bio-inspired system design, and UWB sensing and communication for biomedical systems.

Dr. Haider’s research is a perfect fit for the department’s interest in finding ways to merge engineering and computing into novel solutions for health-care problems to benefit society. Haider has completed his doctoral work in electrical engineering at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He has published more than fifty journal and conference papers and is very involved in the ECE community.
