Advanced Placement Teacher Award
Through the generosity of members of the English Advisory Committee, the Department of English is able to identify an outstanding Advanced Placement teacher from an area high school and to recognize this person at the Haggerty Articulation Conference. Emily Norton of Ramsay Alternative High School was selected in 2004. Past winners include Susan Ronilo Caraway, Clay-Chalkville High School, and Marlee A.E. Neel, Hueytown High School. The competition for this award is held in alternate years, so long as three or more applications are submitted. Applications are available for download below and should be delivered to the Department prior to March 1 in even-numbered years.
