The Comprehensive Minority Faculty and Student Development Program (CMFSDP) |
CMFSDP Faculty Recruitment - A one-time award (based on need and availability of funds) may be provided to any unit recruiting a qualified African American faculty candidate to a tenure or tenure-track faculty position. |
CMFSDP Faculty Development - An award (based on need and availability of funds) may be provided to tenure/tenure-track African American faculty, particularly junior-level faculty without a Faculty Recruitment Award, for activities designed to assist in preparation for tenure and/or promotion applications. |
The Equity and Diversity Enhancement Program (EDEP) |
EDEP Faculty Recruitment - A one-time award (based on need and availability of funds) will be provided to any unit recruiting a qualified underrepresented minority or woman faculty candidate to a tenure or tenure-track faculty position. |
EDEP Faculty Development - An award (based on need and availability of funds) will be provided to qualified tenure/tenure-track underrepresented minority or woman faculty, particularly junior-level faculty without a Faculty Recruitment Award, for activities designed to assist in preparation for tenure and/or promotion applications. |
TITLE VI Program - A court-ordered initiative which provides funds for recruiting, hiring and retaining African American representation of faculty and administrative staff at predominately white defendant institutions. |
UAB Black Faculty Recruitment Initiative (BFRI) - The BFRI is designed to provide salary support for African Americans recruited into full-time tenure-track faculty and senior administrative positions at UAB. |
