Dr.
Parker was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his
B.S. from Cornell University and his M.D. from LSU - New Orleans.
Dr. Parker completed his internship and ophthalmology residency
at UAB, and he completed fellowship training in corneal and
anterior segment surgery at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Parker
has been Director of the Cornea Service for UAB's Department
of Ophthalmology since 1991. He has a special interest in
laser correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and
is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
