Research Program

Dr. Read’s laboratory is involved in research in many aspects of ocular immunology. At present the laboratory’s focus is on the role of complement in experimental autoimmune uveitis in the mouse. The laboratory is also currently pursuing projects in defining the expression of complement in the normal human and mouse eye. This work is important in order to allow comparisons of pathology involving complement to the normal situation.
