Facilities Administration Department provides overall administrative and management services in the following areas: Contract Administration, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, as well as offers legal support and other Facilities related functions. Our department is also responsible for assuring meaningful and consistent communication between the UAB contractors and the planning, design, and construction entities within Facilities and at UAB. Our department assists the Facilities Division in achievement of strategic goals and objectives of UAB.
The Facilities Administration Department is responsible for the following:
- Contractual language issues, contract routing, language interpretation
- Resolution of issues related to Alabama Public Bid Law and HR-related issues
- Development, implementation, and enforcement of UAB Facilities rules, policies, and procedures
- Professional support for UAB and/or UAB Facilities legal issues
- Financial Management
- Facilities Human Resources/Personnel
