Facilities Quality and Compliance

Facilities Quality and Compliance provides overall administrative and management services in the following areas: Facilities Standards, Building, Life Safety, and Accessibility codes and guidelines reviews, and recommendations, Quality and Compliance reviews of projects under design or construction. Our department is also responsible for supporting the Facilities Division in Marketing, Metric Performance Studies, and Staff Continuing Education. Our department assists the Facilities Division in achievement of the strategic goals and objectives of UAB.

The Facilities Quality and Compliance Department is responsible for the following:

  • Oversight of the development and implementation of Facilities Standards
  • Providing Building, Life Safety Code and ADA reviews and recommendations
  • Quality and Compliance review of projects under design and/or construction
  • Review and recommendation for payment of work completed by outside consultants and contractors without Facilities Division oversight
  • Facilities Communicator Newsletter
  • Metric performance studies
  • Marketing
  • Continuing Education initiatives
