The Executive Development Program (EDP) is designed to provide customized leadership development opportunities that prepare high potential faculty and staff for executive-level positions at UAB. The time commitment is driven primarily by participants’ individual development plans, but is approximately 12 to 16 hours per month. Participants engage in their own individual projects, mentoring, and shadowing opportunities but also take part in periodic training programs with the rest of their cohort. To participate in the Executive Development Program, faculty and staff must be nominated by their Dean or Vice President and then selected through a competitive review process.
