Process for Closing A Faculty Recruitment Advertisement

  1. A copy of the advertisements should be attached to the Phase I candidate offer packet (include actual tear sheet or electronic copy of advertisement as it appeared in the media source/publication.)
  2. Advertisements are removed from BrassRing and HigherEdJobs.com listings, once the Phase I candidate has been identified; or when the department requests that a recruitment request be closed or cancelled.
  3. Departments should also request that an advertisement/recruitment request be closed by contacting the Faculty Affairs Office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , or 934-0513) when a position is no longer needed, a finalist candidate has been identified (after the 30-day minimum), or if the position will not be filled.
