Dr. Lobsang Sangay will speak on questions of human rights and the political and cultural importance of Tibet.
Dr. Lobsang Sangay, the democratically elected prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, will give a guest lecture to a UAB government class on February 15. The classroom lecture is invitation only.

Dr. Sangay will address the Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations during dinner at 6 p.m., February 15, at The Florentine Building where faculty and friends are invited to attend. He will speak on questions of human rights and the political and cultural importance of Tibet.

Dr. Sangay earned his law degree from Harvard and was a Senior Fellow there prior to his election in 2011. Dr. Sangay’s visit is a follow-up to the fall 2014 visit of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
