Faculty Fellows in Engaged Scholarship accepting applications

A year-long series of workshops is structured to help faculty design a new course or to modify an existing course to include a service-learning component.

Applications sought for Faculty Fellows in Undergraduate Research

The fellowship is designed to accelerate the work of faculty members eager to develop exemplary curricular approaches to education.

Nominate faculty for Odessa Woolfolk Community Service Award

The award recognizes UAB faculty who have rendered outstanding service in the Birmingham community.

Workshops in the Faculty Foundations Series present topics that are of particular benefit to new faculty members at UAB. Workshop topics range from accommodations for students with disabilities, to how to access tools available to faculty for research, to the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan. Participation is open to all faculty members, but is highly recommended for faculty during their first year at UAB. Participation in each workshop earns attendees 10,000 Gold Points and a Faculty Foundations Series Badge. Workshops occur on the first Tuesday of each month from 8:00-9:00 AM and are held at the CTL (EB 243).

Our Faculty Foundations Series will resume
when the Fall 2017 semester begins.
