> If you are inquiring about how to access the class schedule, please visit the web site http://students.uab.edu/academics/ .

  1. Click on "Class Schedule" on the right-had column, and select any of the three serves.
  2. Select the year and session.
  3. At item 2, select the department by clicking the down arrow and selecting "Foreign Languages."
  4. Click Submit Query.

> If you are inquiring about the WebCAPE placement exam, you may take this test before enrolling in a class or at the beginning of the class you enroll in.   It is not necessary to take this test if you are sure you need to begin in the 101 level.   To take the test prior to enrolling, please visit our departmental web site at http://www.uab.edu/foreignlang/ .   If you do not have access to a computer, you may come to our lab, the FLMS, on the 4th floor of the Humanities Building and take the test.

  1. Note the user name and password that appears below the ling to WEBCAPE Proficiency Placement Exams.
  2. Click on the like to WebCAPE Proficiency Placement Exams
  3. Follow the instructions that appear.
  4. After taking the exam, you will receive your results via email.

If you are inquiring for translations, please send an email to professors of the appropriate language.   If a professor is willing to do the translation, he or she will get in touch with you.
