General Information

The Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures does not currently offer the language tables during the summer semesters. Please check back in the fall for an updated schedule of times and offerings.

Community

Alliance Française Table:  French Lunch Bunch Conversation Table. 
Have lunch and practice your French every Fridayat 12:30 pm at the Daily Cup in Jonathan Benton, Bookseller.  For details, call Madam Coleman 205-324-0904 or Monsieur Carter 205-956-0877.

German Stammtisch Conversation Table:  For anyone who speaks German.  Thursdays, 8:00 pm (although many members arrive around 7:30).  Meets at Giuseppe’s Café, Southside, 925 Eighth St. South, 205-324-2626.   Follow 10th Avenue to Eighth Street, then turn right.  New members’ German conversational level should be intermediate to advance.
