Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of South Carolina, a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (which is a member of The Center for Academic Integrity), and affiliated with the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Founded at the University of California, Berkeley in 1919.
The purpose of the society is to honor those who have attained excellence in the study the Spanish language, hispanic literatures and cultures; and to foster friendly relations and mutual respect between Spanish and English.

The Omicron Mu Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi would like to congratulate its newest members. On the night of March 13th, nine outstanding students from the Spanish department were initiated in a nice ceremony attended by students, faculty, alumni and friends.
