Elective coursework
Advanced courses and journal clubs or seminars relevant to the student's area of interest are required and may be completed any time from the second year on.  In consultation with their research mentor and graduate committee, students can choose from an exciting array of courses available both within their theme and the other themes within the Graduate Biomedical Sciences umbrella. 

Modules offered in the first-year curriculum may be taken as advanced courses, with additional work assignments.
