Planning on graduating this semester?
There are several steps you must take in order to graduate. If you follow the instructions carefully, the graduation process should run smoothly.
There are two different commencement ceremonies. The general commencement ceremony is for those receiving their Master's, Ed.S., and Bachelor's degrees. Upon completion of your degree requirements and the absence of financial holds, diplomas are mailed approximately within 5 weeks after the graduation date to the address listed on your Application for Degree form.
To change your diploma mailing address, you must notify Marla Jones either by completing the Graduation Change of Address form and returning it to her at the address listed at the bottom of the form or by emailing her at email@example.com. Ms. Jones will respond to each email.
If the Graduate School does not receive notification of your change of address per this form or an email to Marla Jones, you will be charged a duplicate diploma fee.
After degree requirements are completed, degrees are posted to student academic transcripts within two week.
Students may view and request their transcripts on the BlazerNet Student Information System at https://blazernet.uab.edu/cp/home/displaylogin.
Verification of Degree letters may be requested at http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/.
