Melissa Galvin (Ph.D., M.P.H., UAB; B.S. Auburn University/Montgomery) is Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior. Dr. Galvin’s other responsibilities include Associate Director for the Geriatric Education Center (UAB) ;Executive Director for the Commission on Aging (State of Alabama), and Associate Director for the Center for Community health Resource Development (UAB). Her area of interest include health promotion and aging. She teaches courses in public health education, geriatrics/gerontology, and health promotion.
