Historical Note:         The Oh Lectureship in Neuromuscular Diseases was established in 1994 at UAB by Shin Joong Oh, MD, and his wife, Myung-Hi Kim Oh, MD.  It became an Endowed Lectureship in 1997 and was funded by gifts from many former trainees and fellows of UAB’s Neuromuscular Disease Program.  The purposes of the lectureship are to enhance the mission of the UAB Neuromuscular Diseases Program in training future leaders in neuromuscular diseases and to highlight the achievements of the program in training, research, publications and clinical services.  The lectureship was dedicated in the memory of the Oh’s daughter, Julie Youngjoo Oh (1970-1982). 

Scope & Contents:     This collection consists entirely of one scrapbook produced in 2006 on a computer (as stated on the back endpaper).  Unlike conventional scrapbooks, the items in this book (dating 1982 through 2005) were scanned into a digital format and printed onto the pages.
