University Hospital's 96 new patient rooms are designed to re-create the warm ambiance of home using a non-institutional color palette, spacious floor plans and comfortable seating. Artwork is specially selected to enhance the healing processes of the body, mind and spirit.

Custom-built furniture includes a spacious wardrobe and corner shelving-a convenient spot to display flowers and gifts as well as personal items brought from home to lend familiarity. Visitors will appreciate guest accommodations, including a sofa that converts to a bed equipped with storage, as well as a restful recliner.

Not only will rooms be comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, but they will also be compatible with state-of-the-art equipment to assure seamless patient care. Bedside computer access will allow physicians and nurses to promptly retrieve patient records.
