A concert featuring Sam Hunt along with Maren Morris and Ryan Follese on Sept. 1. The concert is being held to celebrate the return of UAB Football – which plays its first game Sept. 2 – and The Campaign for UAB topping $800 million. This is UAB's way of saying thanks to the community for its support.

Where is the concert?

The concert takes place at Uptown in Birmingham. Uptown is a Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) development located on the campus of the BJCC. Uptown is located just north of I-20/59. For more information, parking or directions, visit www.uptownbham.com.

This is a general admission-only concert, so arrive early for the best spots.

What time does the concert start?

The concert begins at 7:00 pm, rain or shine.

What time will the gates open?

Gates will open at 5:00 pm, two hours prior to the start of the concert. A UAB pep rally will begin at 6:15pm and music concludes at approximately 11:00 pm. We want to make sure everyone has a great time at the concert and gets enough rest so they are able to help cheer the Blazer football team to victory the next day against Alabama A&M at Legion Field.

Is this a family-friendly event?

Definitely. We welcome guests of all ages. Please note that everyone attending the concert requires a ticket.

Is UAB clothing required?

No, but we strongly encourage everyone to show their support for UAB, our football team and other athletic teams by wearing your favorite green or gold colored clothing items. The UAB Bookstore will be on-site selling UAB's official athletic gear from Under Armour and other popular UAB clothing and merchandise.
