CDCforWebSince 1995, the UAB Child Development Center has provided quality care and instruction exclusively for children of UAB employees. The on-campus facility ranks among the 5 percent of childcare centers to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children — considered the gold standard in early childhood education.

The mission of the UAB Child Development Center is to support the mission of the University by providing a child care program that reflects the highest standards of professional practice.  UAB Child Development Center is firmly committed to curriculum and practices that place the good of the child as foremost to other considerations and are consistent with the recommendations of national professional organizations; reflecting and valuing the diversity of the University community while interpreting this value in appropriate ways; clear, honest and professional communication; and the fair treatment of children, parents and colleagues.

Ages Served: 6 weeks to 5 years

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
