Has a Business/Marketing degree from UAB and 25+ years of multi-industry IT management and leadership experience (higher education, banking, and retailing).
Current areas of focus at UAB include Academic Technology (Instructional and Classroom), Customer Relationships (Help Desk, IT Website, Business Relationship Mgmt.), and Vendor Relationships (Contracts/Licensing/Vendor Mgmt.).
Serves as co-Executive Sponsor to the Advisory Council to the Center for Teaching and Learning
Serves as chair of the Learning Resources Team for UAB's SACS Reaffirmation effort.
Serves as a member of the Advisory Council to eLearning and Professional Studies, the UAB Online Strategic Planning Steering Committee, and the Disability Support Services Technology Committee.
He also holds an Alabama Real Estate license (inactive) and is a local coordinator for American Red Cross blood drives.
