C# Programming Certificate

Recommended Pre-requisites

  • Use Microsoft Windows - one year minimum general experience
  • Program in a computer programming language
  • Apply structured programming concepts
  • Express a strong interest in computer programming

Overview
The C#™ Programming Language certificate series provides students with information about the syntax of the C# programming language; object-oriented programming with the C# programming language; and creating graphical user interfaces (GUIs), exceptions, file input/output (I/O), and working with databases. Programmers familiar with object-oriented concepts can learn how to develop C# technology applications. The course uses the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 development tool. The concepts of variable usage, iterative controls, error handling, message windows, databases and GUI components will be covered in this course.

The C# course series provides a classroom environment where the student will learn through task-oriented lectures and hands-on labs.

Certificate: In order to obtain a certificate, the following items must be completed:

  1. Completion of the courses shown below. Courses should be completed in the order shown below.
  2. A final project during which the participant will demonstrate knowledge of C# Programming.

Introduction to C#
This course helps participants understand the essential concepts of using the C# programming language The student will learn the essentials of using Variables, IF statements, Looping and various functions. Exercises and lab sessions reinforce the learning objectives and provide students the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience.

Intermediate C#
This course helps participants understand the intermediate concepts of using C# to create C#. The student will learn the essentials of working with Classes and Objects. Exercises and lab sessions reinforce the learning objectives and provide students the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience.

Advanced C#
This course helps participants understand the advanced concepts of using C# to create C# programs. The student will learn the essentials of working with Error Handlers, Overloading, Messaging and GUI components. Exercises and lab sessions reinforce the learning objectives and provide students the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience.

Project in C#
A comprehensive project will be presented allowing the student to utilize the skills acquired in the C# Language classes. This comprehensive project will include the objectives required to create and comprehend the language statements addressed in the C# classes. Success in this project qualifies the student for certification as a C# Developer.
