The UAB Employee Assistance and Counseling Center supports you in achieving successful work life integration in all areas of life by providing informative classes and seminars. Classes are offered at no cost and are open to all eligible employees and members of their immediate household.

  • Gentle Yoga - Clear your head Tuesdays & Thursdays, July 29 - August 29 from 5:00-6:15 p.m. *No class August 19 or August 21
  • Mid-week Meditation - Join us for a brief mid-week guided relaxation meditation July 9, 16, 23 & 30 from 1:00-1:30 p.m.
  • Body Awareness - Explore body awareness in a 3-part sequence using art making and yoga July 23 & 24 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
  • Top 10 List of Personal Finance Things To Do Series - Financial planning series, Four sessions: May 20, June 27, July 29 and August 29
  • Abusive Relationships - Recognizing the Warning Signs - Understand domestic violence & recognize the warning signs of an abusive relationship July 30 from noon-1:00 p.m.
  • Displaced Employees Support Group – Meets each Thursday at 1:15 at the UAB Employee Assistance and Counseling Center. Call 205-934-2281 for details.
  • Beat the Pack – Let us help you stop smoking. See UAB Wellness for more information. If you’d like to work with a counselor individually to assisting you to quit smoking, call 205-934-2281 for details.
