Published over 100 manuscripts, abstracts and reviews in the areas of asthma, cystic fibrosis, and immunology.
Her laboratory was the first to demonstrate the effects of aerobic exercise on cellular and molecular responses in a mouse model of allergic asthma.
Has mentored graduate students and postdoctoral and clinical fellows and is preceptor on five UAB NIH-funded training grants.
Served as the Director of the Cellular and Molecular Physiology Graduate Program from 1998 to 2007.
