PUBLIC SERVICE
Philosophy
Translating research findings into programs and initiatives that improve the lives of people in their communities is the cornerstone of the UAB ICRC's outreach efforts. Those efforts span a wide range of categories -- from traffic safety and home safety to enhancing rehabilitation services for victims of injury, and from "seed grants" that target specific injury-related problems to a comprehensive communications network that helps unite the efforts of professionals in state and federal agencies around the Southeast who work independently on preventing and controlling injuries.
