TAVRC-Tuscaloosa Area Volunteer Reception Center:
http://www.ttownvolunteer.com The TAVRC seeks to help volunteers find their place in the area’s long term recovery efforts and to continuously match the unmet needs of storm victims to resources offered by volunteer groups. Use this site to register as a volunteer, find recovery-related assistance, report volunteer hours and make donations to Tuscaloosa’s recovery fund. United Way Chapters of Central and West Alabama: http://www.uwca.org/ and http://www.uwwa.org/ - United Way chapters of Central and West Alabama seek to determine the needs of the Alabama community and through the support of community volunteers and donors works to solve those needs for positive changes within the state of Alabama. Temporary Emergency Services: http://www.temporaryemergencyservice.org/ We are here to assist individuals and families that are in need. We are all devastated by this terrible tragedy but we intend to continue working with others in the community to assist those who have suffered losses. We are providing clothes, food, diapers, baby items and many other necessities. We are open to assist clients from 10 am – 5 pm Monday through Saturday and 1 pm – 5 pm on Sunday. We are open to receive donations and volunteers from 8am - 6pm Monday through Saturday and 10am - 6pm on Sundays.
