When you are establishing your website's "key phrases" use words that your customers would use when they talk about your company in regular conversation. 2. Use dependable search terms as page titles and headers. There are several key word tools out there, (including Google's Keyword Tool) that can help you determine the best keywords for your site. Once you have a narrow list of the very best keywords for your site, splatter those words throughout all your page titles and headers. That way, when the search spiders are looking for the key words, they find your site first. 3. Refresh content often. "refreshing" content just means to add new stuff regularly. Whether you are writing a new blog article, or deleting old pages that are not bringing in traffic, keeping the website neat, tidy, and active will help increase your SEO. 4. Eliminate pages no one reads. Look over your site and take stock of pages that are not helpful. If no one is reading, or visiting, specific pages, delete them. By getting rid of unused content you are establishing your website as a concentrated hub of good content---that's great for userablility and increasing your SEO.
