April 1999, "Celebration of Croatia"

   An information display was set up to enhance the student's and staff's knowledge of Croatia.  Information packages were handed out regarding Croatia's history, culture, religion and tourist sites.
 

May 1999 "Celebration of The Bahamas"

With perfect weather, this event was a great sucess.  The celebration was at the HUC Concourse and included live entertainment from the Group, "A Touch of Steel" who played local Bahamain, Calyspso music.  Additionally, to give the students and staff a taste of the Bahamas, food samples were provided.  Food included Bahama Breeze Drinks and Peas and Rice.  Recipes of other local Bahaman food and information sheets about the country were given out.

                             
 

October 1999, "Celebration of The Philippines"

This event was held at the Somolian International House.  To increase student cultural awareness of the Philippines information packages, posters, and food samples were used in the display.  Students enjoyed tasting egg rolls, and Chicken Adobo.
 

                            

October 1999, "Celebration of Morocco"

The design of this event was similar to the celebration of the Phillippines.  We tried to have Moroccan Acrobats perform but experienced difficulties with hiring them.  Therefore, we set up an informational display for students to walk around and view the information while sampling kebabs and coconut cakes.
