How do I reach the UAB LDAP server?

We are using Netscape's LDAP server to interface with the entries in the UAB Electronic Phonebook.

SOLUTION:

  • The LDAP service server nameis
    ldap.uab.edu

     

  • The search base or search rootis: o=uab.edu

     

  • Port number 389

     

  • Maximum to return is: 25

    • NOTE: Error Messages When You Search the Outlook Address Book by Using a Full User Name

    If you type a full user name in the Display Name field in the Find dialog box of your address book when you try to search a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server in Outlook, you may receive error messages.
