Why You Want ResNet

Residents of Camp, Blount, Denman, and Rast halls are provided a high-speed Internet connection. This connection is called ResNet — short for Residence Hall Network.

With a computer and a BlazerID you can:

Register for classes online
Check your grades online
Access information your professor puts on the Web
Access e-mail (If you don't have a UAB e-mail account, you can claim one at BlazerID Central)
Access campus libraries (Mervyn Sterne and Lister Hill Library);
Access WebCT Vista online course materials for certain classes
Publish Web pages
Access useful freeware and software provided to you by UAB, such as antivirus software
Participate in class newsgroups, other USENET newsgroups, and online forums
Access World Wide Web pages

Best of all, it's high speed, it's always on, and you can talk on the phone while on the Internet.
